Fortunately the last years the quality of the “Glühwein” sold on several chrismas markets were rising and the hot spides wine is getting drinkable.
In Heidelber there are several different places were this hot spiced punch is sold, but this one is at least for its look outstanding!!

Autumn – my favourite season

For me harvesttime is the most beautyful time in germany! Not only the colours are stunning, so is the smell of seasonal food like Zwiebelkuchen (onion tart) and sweet chesnuts. The peoples mood is also something special in this time I could tell about. For my feeling, the people get more soft and a little bit more sentimental, but not as much like during chrismastime.
So, if I had to travel germany, I would come right now in October, of course in this time this country is abolutely unique!
